    • The City’s Parking Services are managed by ABM Parking Services, who are responsible for all metered parking spaces, City-owned parking lots, and residential parking programs within the City.

    Parking Tickets

    All parking tickets can be paid at Midtown Garage, 501 Scott Boulevard, across from the Kenton County Library. Tickets can also be paid online at https://covington.rmcpay.com/.

    Parking Violation/Citation Appeal

    Appeals of parking citations must be made within seven (7) days of issuance.  To appeal a parking fine, CLICK HERE to complete the appeal form and submit to the Covington Police Department. 

    Metered Parking & Parking Lots

    On-street parking meters operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Parking meters are 55 cents per half hour. For City-owned lots and garages, please observe posted signage for rates and hours.

    New! The City of Covington recently launched the mobile parking app, PassportParking®. The innovative technology allows users the option to conveniently pay for metered parking using their phone. The PassportParking app is free and available for download at the App Store and Google Play. It is important for users to note, there is a $.25 convenience fee with each parking purchase. Visitors are still able to pay for parking using cash at the meters. For more information, click here.

    Residential Parking Program

    The Residential Parking Program operates in the Licking Riverside neighborhood. Vehicles parked within these zones must display a parking permit. Parking permits are valid for one year and expire in December.

    Permit Application & Program Brochure

    Residential Parking Permits are available on an annual basis to residents of the Parking Program Area for $25 each, which includes one visitor pass. A maximum of two permits and two visitor passes are allowed per household, per year. These passes are valid for the calendar year in which they are issued, renewable annually, and are coded to each resident/address or police verification purposes. Permits are window stickers, which should be placed in the rear window on the driver’s side of the resident’s vehicle. Residents who do not purchase Resident Parking Permits must comply with on-street signage requirements.
