The Economic Development Department provides information, financial incentives and technical resources to new and existing businesses. The Department’s mission is to encourage reinvestment and economic growth, to retain and facilitate expansion of existing businesses, to promote entrepreneurship, and to attract new businesses by fostering a positive business environment. The goal is to create and retain quality jobs and thereby increase the local tax base.
This Department also works closely with economic development partners in the region to leverage resources and enable the City to provide attractive incentives.
